This Week's Top Stories About anime statues

Streetwear can be described as a piece of high-grade clothing that draw influence from its surroundings but it has also become a genre of clothing. A simple example can be a t-shirt with graffiti influenced print that might have a life lesson or a socio-political statement. This fashion is all about current and trending. The origin of streetwear dates back to the 1970s when surfing, skating, punk, and hip-hop were the prime influences for it. The mainstream fashion was refused by the teens of the time and they adopted a DIY approach to fashion. It was all about expressing oneself and being unique yet having a statement.

The rap scene grew strong in the late 1970s and young artists started producing their own mixtapes, records, and t-shirt that their fans would purchase. The skating and surf scene was quite strong during the early 1980s and they quickly followed by starting to design custom surfboards, skateboards and t-shirts that spoke of their beliefs and unique personal styles. Several musical artists, surfers, and skaters gained cult status and also helped these relatively new phenomenon gain popularity. "Skatewear" and "surfwear" in California gained a lot of popularity and can essentially be considered the predecessors of streetwear. The brands that grew from this revolution spread nationally and eventually across the world as it was something completely new, refreshing, yet extremely rooted in the street culture.

The interesting part of the story of streetwear is that each part of the world made it their own. The Japanese streetwear is heavily influenced by anime, manga, Japanese folklore, gadgets, toys, sci-fi, and Japanese street art. T-shirts with Japanese art is still one of the most common pieces of apparel that is available across the globe. The Japanese market caught on to the streetwear trend in its own special way making it a global trend in its true sense. Similarly, other parts of the world adopted streetwear in their own unique way.

Europe was an extremely slow adopter in this fashion trend and they finally caught up in the mid-1990s but it became big quickly and saw innovation and unique ideas during the period. The fashion industry saw a huge amount of "crossing boundaries" with streetwear. Be it independent brands, local brands, or the global ones, all adopted this trend and developed their own products over the years.

Another high-tide in streetwear was the hooded sweatshirt that became infamous for its popularity among gangs and criminals. Hoodies have since disassociated itself from that label and have become an integral part of streetwear besides t-shirt and jeans. The experimentation, mixing and matching, and even customizing is highly appreciated in streetwear although it has become far more refined and high-quality since its inception. Streetwear is now also quite prominent among the young members of the fairer sex but it is yet to see its prime. Having a few pieces of streetwear that features art that resonates with one's own beliefs, feelings, and likes allow them to express their personality.

anime figurines: A Simple Definition

It seems too hard for a beginner to start making his own costume. You are not encompassed if you had already got some sewing skills and tools. Making a costume needs patient and skills, and one thing should never be ignored is time. Personally, I suppose what I said above will undermine the confidence of green hands. However,if you do love it, buy one and ask for some successful experience from vendors . Consider how they make this costume and learn from it after receiving. Since it already belong to you, it is possible for you to take it apart and then sew it again or anything you think may help your work.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes. As an old saying goes, failure is the mother of success, I want to remind you that some of us even enjoy the process of making costumes. That all right,if you have some problems, prepare for them and take them into account when planning your costume budget.

I accidentally lopped a good three inches off the hem of my Armitage Hux(Star Wars) gown because I wasn't being careful where I was cutting. I trimmed it shorter and moved on.

The first Black Panther collar I made was much too small and pointy. The second one was the perfect size and shape, but the material didn't work. I'm going to use it to make the third.

My mother, however, is the epitome of this. She's built an entire Iron Man suit out of foam and had to scrap it because despite all her prepping, she couldn't get it to accept the paint without cracking. She built four helmets before she got the size right. Three chest pieces. Two codpieces. A lot of trial and error before she got the perfect suit.

Here you could see, there are so many things to share, some of them maybe tiny, but always be ignored by us.

Particularly when you're making your own costumes, a lot of them are merely experimentation. You will become frustrated from time to time, however when you finish all of these, you'll thinking, "That's absolutely worth trying. I will never, ever doing that again."

If something goes wrong on a piece you've been working your ass off for, it's okay to be upset. Take a moment to yell at the wall, then take another moment to assess your mistake. Figure out what went wrong, figure out if you can correct it, and if not, figure out what you can do to make it work on your next attempt.

Take it easy. But stay committed. Know how to prioritize. Like, yes you love cosplay, you are passionate. But take care of the important things like your job, study etc.

7 Things You Should Not Do With anime statues

"For many years now, the most popular poet in America has been a 13th-century mystical Muslim scholar (RUMI)." (BBC)

Mevlana Rumi is one of the most widely read poets in America. Born in Afghanistan, he later migrated to turkey and settled there. He is the best known Muslim Sufi poet, particularly in the west. His poetry and prose is brimming with the love of God and self realization through Divine love. He takes you to a journey of love and self discovery. It has been a few decades since his teachings have started illuminating the western world after enlightening the east for centuries.

The Theme of Rumi’s Works

Rumi’s original Persian poetry and prose has been translated into English by numerous American, English, German and Indian writers. The main theme of his works is the union with our true Beloved (God) and the journey to discover the meaning of life and the purpose of creation. He professes that we were a part of this Supreme Being and our impurity has cut us off from Him.

We search for Him here and therewhile looking right at Him.Sitting by His side we ask,"O Beloved, where is the Beloved?"

The purpose of creation is to purify ourselves since it is the only way to seek union with our Root, our True Beloved. Rumi's major work is the "Mathnawi", comprising of 25,000 verses of spiritual teaching and Sufi wisdom. Mathnawi is considered as the greatest spiritual masterpiece ever written.

Why is Rumi so Popular in America?

It is indeed thought provoking as to why and how Rumi has become so popular in United States. It is in fact a sign of great spiritual thirst within Americans and wherever he is read. Moreover, the universal appeal of his teachings has attracted all religions and cultures to him. According to Shahram Shiva, "The world of Rumi is neither exclusively the world of a Sufi, nor the world of a Hindu, nor a Jew, nor a Christian; it is the highest state of a human being - a fully evolved human. Today Rumi's poems can be heard in churches, synagogues, Zen monasteries, as well as in the downtown New York art/performance/music scene."

Rumi provides an answer to many of the questions that disturb us. Why am I born? What is the purpose of creation? Where am I going to go after death?

"I died as a mineral and became a plant, I died as plant and rose to animal, I died as animal and I was Man. Why should I fear? When was I less by dying? Yet once more I shall die as Man, to soar With angels blest; but even from angelhood I must pass on: all except God doth perish. When I have sacrificed my angel-soul, I shall become what no mind e'er conceived. Oh, let me not exist! for Non-existence Proclaims in organ tones, 'To Him we shall return.'"

The Whirling Dervishes

The recently released Indian film "Jodha Akbar" shows a glimpse of whirling dervishes in the song "Khawaja merey khawaj". The whirling dervishes in fact come from the Sufi order of Mevlana Rumi. It was Rumi who introduced this whirling or Sema as a form of human being's spiritual journey and love to Perfection. Turning toward the Truth, he experiences love, goes beyond the ego, meets the truth, and reaches at Perfection. Then he returns from this Check out the post right here spiritual journey after becoming mature and complete; he can love and serve the creation without any discrimination.

The Discourse of Rumi and Divan-e- Shams Tabraiz are Rumi’s other masterpieces. He invites mankind to love God and be a part of Him since we are what we love. Our souls are restless because we are veiled from the Beloved. Once we polish the mirror of the heart, the Beloved would reflect in it. What Rumi presents here is in fact the mystical teaching of Islam as put by Prophet Muhammad ( may peace be upon him): "The best of God's servants are those who, when seen, remind one of God." We are with our Beloved, a part of Him, but our own impurities do not let us merge with Him. The result is chaos and restlessness as the world is experiencing today.

"Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere, they're in each other all along…" RUMI
